This was from a photo a few years old from a visit to Uluru Camel Tours: Milkshake will be a bit bigger now I imagine . . .

Adam done
Mainly played with the tones (hands, ear and right side of face) to get them to come together a bit more, darkened some dark bits and tidied up the mouth and chin . . . tiny bits but got it to where I can stop now I think . . . strangely enough given that I didn't much enjoy painting the background, it's one of the bits I'm particularly pleased with . . .
So, a week to check there's nothing else to do, another week to properly dry (it's been very thin layers the last month or so, so not long) and then rolling up and shipping off to Darwin. Yay.

hills hands and foliage
Finalising the seven sisters dancing hills for the Kathleen portrait that's going up to Darwin next week for the Portrait of a Senior Territorian
And finishing up the the foliage background so I can get focused back on the two key bits of the Adam portrait, the hands, which I want to get right before I get back to working on the face. Quite happy with how the vague rock outlines behind the foliate turned out, suggesting the sunlight on that rare Melbourne winter day.
