Said goodbye on Friday to this piece, my second foray into working with graphite on monoprint (after last year's 'I wonder, Mr Stuart' portrait). It's also a first in that it's the first time I'm made a representation of the story/experience of undertaking a painting, in this case the portrait of Geoff Shaw, ('It's been and is a long journey'), commissioned by the lovely couple who bought the portrait from the Portrait of a Senior Territorian Art Award show in Alice last year.
