Just adjusting to the situation that these two are REALLY slow portraits, for a whole host of reasons, and trying to relax and embrace this (though really also wanting to get moving on the landscapes again, but can't seem to without these completed). . . have really enjoyed working on the hands these few days though.

getting some depth

Have loved the composition of this one but struggled with the depth.  Getting there now (just face at present: beard hat and hands to come).

portraits and landscapes

Might be getting into a bit of routine to get me accustomed to landscape painting.  3 hrs on the land then 1 on the face.  I'll see how it goes, or doesnt. 

Geoff and a landscape

 Been going backwards and forwards with the background between working on the hands, and a bit of face/cap.  Then decided to have some other air and played a bit with the colours of this arial landscape.  I don't normally do big landscapes or do them on linen (small boards is my past habit) so this and the others I'm playing with are something of a step into 'where am I now?'
