 Still need to do a bit more on Kathleen's hair, brush hand and the seven sisters hills in the background amd in the painting, but this is definitely in the ''beginning of the end" stage . . .

After the sitting in Alexandra Gdns just south of the Yarra River in Melbourne last week, I'm happy to have blocked out the composition and tonal bits of this offical commission of ex NT Chief Minister Adam Giles.  Lots of canvas so lots of time and paint, but the beginning has almost now ended (apols Winston).

Dodgy light as I ended up painting past sunset, but pretty happy with how the text is turning out and the general composition

 Still working of both the composition of this one and the actual portrait bit in terms of tone and chroma.
